![]() I think we are far enough along where we could work now and to set up in some sports bars or other places to create miniature football "awareness" during the day of the NFL draft.
What better day than this, April 26-27, when many folks have football on the brain. You wouldn't have to have your whole league playing games, .............I think two boards going, one playing a game, the other tweaking bases, and have another guy at a table painting the new draftees, ...............and then Oh by they way, "yeah we have a local league here" ............. have some rules and maybe even a brochure to give to some folks and even have some copies of the "TWEAK" to show them................ I think many sports bars will be advertising for folks to come to their bar, and you could sell the manager on offering something different in addtion to just the nfl draft. Minature Football Awareness Day in conjunction with the nfl draft........... M-FAD. ![]()

![]() Great Minds Think Alike....
Mike Robinson sent me a suggestion a month or more ago and we have been working on it together. I haven't completed my part which is creating the downloadable printable pdf for all to use but here is what Mike wrote and his idea. We had actually picked the Friday (June 13) before Fathers Day for "Take a TTQB To Work Day" which of course is the day before National Miniature Electric Football Day on June 14th. This would make for a 3 day Dad and MFB weekend! No reason that we couldn't set this up as well for Draft Day. This was going to announce in the next Tweak but nobody ever reads what I post anyway so I'm probably safe in putting it here. ![]() Any suggestions for the text for MFB Draft Day would be great and i can prepare a flyer! On (insert day here), the MCFA is asking coaches across the country to introduce co-workers to the hobby of miniature football. Show them the excitement you have for the game by demonstrating game play and answering questions. Football fans are everywhere. Showing them how fun the hobby is can only help it grow and give it greater exposure. Here is what we ask of you, the ambassador of miniature football: 1. Check with your employer to see if meeting rooms or break rooms can be used to display your board and players. Some companies put out newsletters. Get the event added if they will allow. 2. Invite co-workers to come learn about the hobby. 3. Take you favorite boards, players, tweaking tools, decals, facemasks etc. to be displayed to co-workers. 4. Show them the excitement of miniature football! Run plays! Tweak bases! Explain the hobby. The men don’t just run in circles. Help dispel those myths. 5. Take pictures! Report back to the MCFA on how the event went. The Tweak want to know! The MCFA has flyers you can print to advertise the event. You can make this hobby grow! TEXT for flyer: Football Fans! The NFL season is over but football excitement is year round! Come join me for a demonstration of the classic football game you enjoyed as a kid! Electric football has grown up and is more exciting than ever. YOU are the coach! YOU call the plays! Come see all that the hobby of miniature football offers! Date: Time: Place:

![]() Ok, the abbreviation for football is "F". Miniature football is "MF". So just what is MFB? Sounds like a forbidden ingredient in Chinese food! LOL! Don't fool me now! I'm still trying to adjust to saying MF instead of EF and such.
Surely, you're not splitting up football into foot and ball are you? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
