Default the QB factor

whats a good base for a QB? I like a slow TTC base that will give the WR's time to get open. What do you guys think?

I like the multi-directional ITZ dial on a TTC shell so the defense won't know which way the QB is rolling out. If you use a larger TTC shell like a proline shell you can sneak a small (but strong) magnet under it too so the defense won't know your QB is stationary. I like your concept of a slightly slower base though so the QB allows the play to develop if rolling out.

I myself am of the same school, I tweak a rather slow moving TTC, I also tweak an exact looking TTC base to spin stationary. I am not sure how "common" magnets are on stationary QBs, the trick to those though, as was mentioned is to field a QB on a base where the magnet is hidden so your opponent can't tell what the QB is up to.

Our league rules allow you to substitute the QB at the beginning of play...even drop him into shotgun...but the defense also gets to move a player in response.

I am partial to having my QB on the move almost all the time now....I put a running QB figure on one of the old QB/Kicker bases and he can fly!! I roll towards one side or the other and pass from that position. It works great....most folks have geared their loopers to aim for a particular area of the backfield and they hate seeing the QB on the move....and my guy can move real quick now....4 rushes for 78 yards in my last game.
