Default LAEFL season 9

What a day for season number 9 in the LAEFL. The past two league champs met up in an epic EFL battle. The league had its first 0-0 tie after overtime. A rookie coach took down Tim Riley again, last time that happened he went on to win the SHOW. The Packers are back and played well. The Bears and Coach Jeronimo Spinxs are back after a year a way and you wouldn't know it after his team came back in both their games. The Saints keep marching on as they came away with two hard fought wins. Watch out as Matt Riley and his Jets are off to a 2-0 start again.

The past two league champs met up and Tim Riley held on to beat Perry Burke 21-14. You could hear Perry talking all game long about how he was getting pushed around. "Man I've never had my team pushed around like this, we need to get back to camp and cut and change out some guys." spoke Coach Burke. The Chiefs broke out on top first but the Cowboys came right back to tie it up at 7. Just before the half the Chiefs got lucky on a swing pass to the flats and his back took it up the right side and found a wave and rode it all the way for the score. It seems like right after that the Cowboys just couldn't find themselves.

The Chiefs scored again to take a 21-7 lead with just over 5 minutes to go in the game. The Cowboys made a furious drive count as they pulled to within 7 points wit just over 1 minute to go. Both on-side attempts failed and the Chiefs ran out the clock for the win.

Now call it whatever you want but call it a classic for the LAEFL. The 49ers coached again by Cleon Tate Jr took on Darrin Hunter's Chargers. This was a game that had drama and bad coaching decision. The worst of them all came near the end of overtime when the 49ers were within field goal range, but elected to go for the first down instead of the 3 points and the win. "We've lost too many games because of the kicker and I didn't trust nor want to put the game in his hands", quoted Coach Tate after the game. Both teams were able to move the ball but couldn't get it in the end zone. Darrin had a tough talk with qb, Dan Fouts but it didn't seem to help as he only went 3-18 on the day. Ken Norton was around him all game long as he had 3 sacks on the day of the Chargers qb.

17-7 isn't the way the defending champs wanted to start off the defense of their title. Down for the whole game the Chiefs finally got on the board and looked to have snatched momentum from the Bills and Coach Marty. Trailing 10-7 and with the ball the offense went south and the Bills jumped at the chance to upset the defending champs. They took the ball in and then ran out the clock on the Chiefs as the first upset in the league was recorded. "Man his team is fast and strong", stated Coach Riley after his game.

Reporting for the Blunt, I'm Rasta Haze and this is the LAEFL according to me.
