I found the perfect bases for running backs and WR's, (And other positions that require rookie bases.) I am using Clear Speed Diamond bases and if Coach Rip sees this, I want to thank him for such a great product. I have tweaked 7 of them, and all have gotten a starting position. If you see this, I request these bases. They are so fast and easy to tweak. They even come a bit tweaked from the package!!!!! Anyway, I am having trouble finding: Fast and smooth TTC's, smooth TTC's, and the hardest strong TTC's. I know this comes down to opinions, but post your opinion anyway. It's getting difficult for me to find some good performing TTC's.

If you enjoy tweaking, give the F5's a try. I've tried some, and they were quite a bit faster than any of the Miggle TTC's that I have. You have to be willing to tweak them, though. They don't perform well straight out of the package. But once tweaked...

The issue with most TTCs (for example Miggle TTCs) is that the front prongs are located well back from the front of the base and they are very weak, so you need to have a figure that is very far rear towards the base (the hati repros and Miggle little men seem to be the best balanced for regular TTCs from my experience). For FF.com figures its very easier to cut the figures off the platform and reposition them well back on the platform to give better balance on a TTC. This can be done on Miggle 67 big men as well (or any figure for that matter).

My recommendation for a smooth running TTC would be to use a candle warmer to heat the pliers and give a solid squeeze to the back prongs and angle them back like this: // (straight but at a backwars angle). Then use the heated pliers to "set" the front prongs more vertical (with only a very slight backwards angle). Also, you can try pro line TTC dials in a regular miggle shell (or the new buzball DDB dials too). These dials are a stronger material and how the front weight better and can give the base some good pop (may need to cut down the lenght of the prongs on each of these dials a touch so that the base lies very flat looking- parallel to the field surface, not jacked up in front).

Stock white dial polo green TTCs rip for me, with slight tweaking I am getting tremendous speed from them. Strength, though will require a Proline dial in the TTC shell. Same holds true for the orange and yellow TTCs, based on my experience.

Clear speed diamonds are nice, you know what is a heck of a fast rookie base I have been into lately is the current Miggle frosty base, they are very fast.

I have tweaked many fast, smooth running polo greens though. There are a lot of good bases out there and a lot of good tweaking styles, some work better than others with different bases.

You have done something that many guys two, three, or FOUR times your age have not, ...................and that is YOU have attempted to tweak bases for yourself. I have talked with many guys in the hobby who, for one reason or another, ........have felt too timid or "afraid" to tweak bases.

Tweaking is the heart and soul of this hobby, it is an art/skill that has made this game the intense competitive joy it is. You have started at an early age and hopefully the fire you have for this game will still burn years from now.
