Default It Was Great Seeing The "iconic" Mike Pratt At The Brawl

SEEING PRATT at any event makes it official. They say corey is the face of MF but i think pratt is also. Mike pratt is a legendary icon. He is the master tweeker and rules guru. His pressence make you feel like you are somwhere special. I only hope he gets out to more and more events. Just sitting and speaking with him as he was checking teams was a treat. He is full of knowledge about the hobby and very passionate about it also.

pratt, thanx for letting me spend some time in your world at the brawl.

ps/ P.M me your address so i can send you those boxes.

thanx

Thumbs up It sure was Great...

Dre,

You're right bro! It was great seeing Mike Pratt (AKA MP3) in the house. I hadn't hung out with Pratt in a long while, but the 5 days he was here more than made up for it. Pratt volunteered his time and helped out greatly. I had a ball chill'n with you and the fellas... I hope MP3 had fun too.

Peace,

Don

Thanks a lot, both of you, for the very kind words. I greatly appreciate it.

A lot of peeps consider me a lot of things, some good, some not so flattering. In any case, at the end of the day, I'm just me - one of the guys. I don't manufacture anything. I don't show up looking to pimp my skills. I show up looking to see what I can give and leave for events I attend, not so much what I can take away from them. What I end up taking away from events like this is fond memories and tighter friendships. For me, those are priceless!

As or If my mobility and balance continues to improve, I will be more likely to attend a few more events in the future. Though I have to admit, w/my duties serving on committees w/the Brawl and the NHFL, I have my proverbial hands and plate full. BUT, I plan to use my future extended time offering support services to the MFCA, when and where they may need it.

I have NO plans of an early retirement. I feel I have more to give to the hobby before I part from this earth. In short, I will expire before I retire. I will stop when the last weak flicker of light has extinguished from my mind, body and soul. Until that time comes, I hope to compile many more fond memories and tighter friendships..... maybe even put one more piece of Gold on my trophy mantle along the way,WITH the wife's permission, naturally. On second thought, maybe not. I can still hear her frequently repeated words ringing in my ears from a while back..... "Go and have fun. Just don't bring another one of those dust collectors home w/you. You don't/won't dust around here. I DO!" Though somehow, she doesn't seem to have a problem w/any of my more recent awards of accomplishment - those not related to championships. Maybe she is far wiser than I about such things.

It was good to finally meet Mike Pratt at the Brawl (smile). I had communicated with him the last few years and it is always good to meet the people you have been in communication with. I am glad to know that you arrived home safely and have no plans to retire from the MF world. Glad to have people like yourself in the hobby.
