Default NHFL Championship in KC-Who's coming?

The playoff scenario isn't set yet but if you are planning on coming you should start thinking about your reservations. Also, I'm hoping to provide a nice BBQ meal so I want to get ready for that and knowing how many will be there would be great.

I would also like to extend an invitation to ANY ONE whether you are part of the NHFL or not to come to KC. After round 1 there will be a number of us that will want to play some games and there will be plenty of EF action to go around. We can make this a great fun day and some of you who have wondered about the NHFL action can have a chance to come out and see what it is all about. There are alot of great guys and when you get right down to it, that's what this is all about!

Come to KC...we have the Negro League Baseball Hall of Fame which you got to see plus great BBQ joints, the Nascar track is a short drive from the airport and there is always Arrowhead Stadium and the Legends, Zona Rosa and Plaza shopping districts for the ladies and "Mr. National" Prettyboy!!!

I guarantee that you will have a great time!!

Default NHFL Playoffs

Lynn,

Will all of the games be played on that Saturday, or will they be played over more than one day? (Based I guess on how they have done it in the past)

Also, Check your PM

Default Need the low-down!?!?

What's the hotel rate?
If I can squeak into the playoffs. I will be there! How is the home board situation going to handled? If in, I wouldn't want to put my board in with the luggage. Will there be enough 620's for us flying in to use if we get a home game?
Is the hotel in the airport? Would we need a cab to get from the airport to the hotel?
I was looking at a flight that would get me in around 6pm on Friday, would I miss anything? And departing KC around 6pm, which means I would need to be at the airport around 4ish. What time is the title game set for? I know a lot of questions!! I haven't even asked about the weather, so I will know what type of clothes to pack! But that's for a different post.

I know that the Tornado Alley League can supply 6-8 fields. I'll let the commissioner talk more about this.

The hotel runs a shuttle to the airport which is only 1/2 mile away so unless you plan to see the city you won't need a car.

Weather can vary in April but cool nights and 60 something to 70 something days can usually be expected.

With the flight times you mentioned, I don't believe you would miss anything. I'll let Raiderman, Pratt or other NHFL rep talk about the schedule because i don't know.

The room rate is $69.00

Here is a link to the hotel.

I'll be there....
Hopefully the Commish will let me know whether or not to bring any boards. I should have room for a few.

Default Count me in Lynn

I'll be there for the weekend. I wouldn't miss this for anything. Hoping to get in some scrimmaging with the guys too. It's safe to assume Geno, Bill, Lance will be there. With you and me, that gives the Tornado Alley/Great Plains region great representation. Hoping Flynt comes up with dad, and it'd be great to see Robert again.

Once the playoff teams are posted it is up to the top 8 seeds to have a home field available. You will need to make arrangements to have a field there for the playoffs. From the way it sounds there will be plenty of local 620's available. If everyone can bring at least one board we will be fine. I know I plan to have at least one home game and I'll be bringing "The Hive" with me.

Team check in is Friday night and we will begin and end the bracket on Saturday. That way anyone who needs to drive back home will have all day Sunday to do so.

Default Just Bumping this thread up.......it'd gotten all the way to page 10

Hard to beleive in a month's time a thread can get all the way to a tenth page, but us guys have alot of football things to talk about. I guess it's cheaper than long-distance phone calls.
Anyway, the time is quickly nearing for the NHFL playoffs, and with only a week left in the regular season, the playoff picture is getting more clear with every game that's played.
I know they take 16 teams from all across the country, but right now, alot of games still need to be played..........so I pose this question: Who's making plans to be in Kansas City on April 13th and 14th? Even coaches that won't be in the playoff bracket, are you thinking of coming?

If I squeak in I will be their. I have a .500 record this year but alot of personal best for me this season. Like most passes I have completed in 3 years, I made a Field Goal and ran for over 1000 yards. The Bats are in the cave. I'm not going to be able to bring a board all of my games would be away anyhow.

Default Wondering who's coming, BESIDES the obvious playoff coaches.

Bumping this back to the first page, since the playoffs are now 5 days away.
