Default Question: Has anyone ever thought of redoing the TTC quarterback ?

Just wondering , now im not complaining , I know that passing the football in our hobby has evolved over time, from the strap, coil, the Giant Shot Put hand dudes up to the TTC, and with its duel purposes I guess that the evoloution of the TTC QB may be all we can get, but has any one ever wondered about a new version of a TTC Qb, i was thinking that one could be designed just for kicking and one just for passing, I know that design would play a big role in this, but maybe with some tips and suggestions maybe a new passer could be the next level of the TTC QB's evoloution what do you guys think.

Cool TTQB Redo...

To answer your question Lock... Yes.

About 2 years ago Chris Robinson redid the TTQB. He made a custom QB figure where the arm could be pulled back and the ball could be thrown. It was pretty cool. The figure was painted up to match the team. I wish I had a picture of it.

Default It has been Done

Lock,

When you come to Texas, I will show you some. It can EASILY be done with FF.COM figures. There are so many things you will discover when you come here that you may have wondered about. Creating throwing QB is just the tip of the iceberg.

I think either Eric Kullberg or Rick Garrison asked me once if I had these. I knew I could create them but due to time constraints, I just did not get around to it. It's funny but I was taking a moment for myself the other day and under my office desk, I saw an "old school" Coleco big QB and the spring mechanism.

Amazing how we can learn from the past. I thought Coleco was "so right on" on much of their vision but because Tudor had the NFL contract, no one looked at Coleco. That was a shame! I think that still may hold today in some circles.

Anyhow, the principle behind that QB mechanism is how my throwing QBs and Kickers are. I even have kickers who are created from the Gunslinger QB with rotating leg that kick soccer style. I may be going to that type of kicker soon once I work out all the kinks. But yes, it is out there. Just not available to the public at this time.

Reginald

Default Hmmm!

I love it when guys are thinking! It makes the world go around! Reggie,
I use to love that big Coleco kicker and passer. I also enjoyed that Coleco board once I took those handles off! Maybe that's why i have such a hard time passing with that pixie ttc QB! I can't stand that little whimp! Tron has spoken.

Default Great idea

They should redo the TTQB. Actually, it should be called double threat because most of them do not kick. If you are fortunate to get one that does kick, it will not kick for a long time before the device goes haywire.
