Creating T.O.
He's all done! Check the final product a few posts down!
Here is my TO from the start, I have only gotten through the molding stage so far. Paint and decals are next. Attaching the arms: The left arm came pretty strait, however the only right arm I had to use was bent and shorter. I had to melt, bend and stretch the right arm, I think it came out pretty close. Filling the gaps: There were some large holes to fill. Next is shaping the arms for symmetry. Shaping with a Dremel: I had to do a lot of shaping/carving with the dremel. I thinned his body out. I re-shaped his legs, arms, torso and shoulder pads to look smoother and what I think is more realistic. Shoulder Work: I think his shoulder pads and arms came out great. I had to do some extra carefull dremel work with them. I tried to shape out the pads, biceps, and forearms. I think this was the final touch, what do you think of the side-by-side picture of the original TO and this athlete? Last edited by ShaynDaPain : 11-12-2008 at 04:23 AM. |

ALL DONE! I think he turned out great for my first complete figure. I didn't use decals because I was just too impatient to wait for them in the mail...so his numbers didn't come out the best but I like them. I also got his name on him. I'm so proud of how he turned out! 1 Figure down, thousands to go. The next figure I'm going to complete will most likely be Steve Young...you are going to flip your lid over that one. lol I hope.

wow!!!!
we got a keeper here.
Those painted numbers are awesome. got me thinking of trying to do the same. GREAT JOB!!!!!!! as for the figure, well, i think his left pinkie toe is out of order, his right hand is not even, his head isnt tilted correctly, there is a paint smudge on his undershirt, his eyes are crossed and you missed a tooth. so i guess the figure sucks. but hey, what do i know, i am just a die hard DALLAS FAN BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! kEEP UP THE GOOD WORK, SHOW US SOME MORE
