Customizing Players can not only be rewarding but therapuetic
I get calls A LOT about how to customize figures, what to use, why the ridges? With these questions comes other questions and discussions as well. I know in a trying economy as ours, one of the things that has kept me sane is being able to go into my MF world and do a little customizing.
It takes you back to a point in time where you can just be a kid. Sometimes that's important. Guys just want to do their own little thing and getting on the gameboard, building stadiums, doing any thing MF related can bring you a sense of calmness.
I was taking a break the other evening and a guy sent me a picture of Barry Sanders. He asked me "What do I use?" I told him Barry Sanders is right there looking at you. He did not understand? I then told him go to Footballfigure.net and tell me which stock pose this figure closely resembled. He told me, the Menacing Enforcer (Erik Williams). I told him correct. Within minutes, he called me back with his version. He said it helped calm him down from an otherwise stressful day. He asked if I would show my version online as well.
