I would love to see this happen! After the Super Bowl there is nothing else worth watching other than old games on NFL Network. This new league should look to the NFL for help as far as being a farm league, since NFL Europe has folded. Good luck to them anyway. I was a fan of the EXF untill it got to be too much like pro wrestling.

I sure hope Spring Football is back.. the UFL hasn't had more than Orlando listed for what?? over a year?

WE are so used to the NFL rules any thing different is shocking but that league was serious competion for the NFL Their mistake was playing at the same time as NFL games and they run out of money!!

Why should a field goal of long distance be worth 2/3rds of a touchdown?

If anything, you should get less points for surrendering. Which, in terms of competition, is what you are doing when you kick a field goal. You are saying that you cannot reach the other team's end zone based on the parameters of down/distance, and thus, you do not deserve the full reward.

To then say, hey, you got nowhere near the end zone (the ultimate goal), so let's give you MORE points?

Yet, they are also going to give MORE points for a PAT from a much shorter distance?

It doesn't make any sense from a gaming standpoint. If a game came with such odd rules, I would think the game engine was suspect.

Based on the rules, you could see teams simply try and kick long field goals all day - and we see kickers now that are pretty good from 45 and 50+ yards. Why try and go down the field when you can simply get to the 35, kick field goals of 52 yards, and get 4 points on just about every possession?

It makes no sense.
