![]() Look at individual games and total season stats.
You can also look at ind. player stats by game and season totals. If you have time look the site over and I think with your knowledge of the game you will figure it out. The site is not that confusing. It is a pretty basic site that serves many EF leagues - but is designed for "real" sports - football and others. Point was in looking at the selections you offered and comparing to many of the BAM games the results really are not that much different. Interesting though - anomolies occur all the time in "real" football. They just posted the stats through 3 qtrs in the Auburn game. They were leading 20-16 but were being outgained 360 something to 83 yards!!! |

![]() So your games are no shorter or quicker to play than many leagues?
Wasn't that one of Manta Ray's concerns - length of game? |

With all due respect to other various style's, why not try the MPFL. i think the problem is alot of you guy's do not have the dvd to see what the MPFL style has to offer. I watched it again the other night and what i gathered from it that it is superbly broken down like being in an NFL team tuesday morn film/pratice. i think many coaches were/are aprehensive to trying this style is due to the four stoppages. They thought/think it would take all day to complete a game. artlax and burgess are right, the games shake out to about 2 1/2 hrs. Then i ask you. 99% of watch the NFL every sunday. Then why in the name of planet earth don't you want to play what you watch on tv. why do you ooh and ahh on sunday and monday watching espn, and don't create it yourself on the board. IT'S THE SAME GAME YOU SEE ON TV. I don't understand, this is the opportunity to put together a serious NFL team in your creation. If john maddan came on espn and said " world, the game of electric football is back". Showed some fields and detailed figure's. Then all of a sudden said I CREATED A SYSTEM FOR YOU TO PLAY CALLED "THE MPFL". Made the exact same system anthony made. What if madden said, i love this game/system "it's the real thing". Goes through some illustrations on the system right on espn. Then callers, analyst, etc etc said " john, that's amazing what you created with these figure's, i played as a child. I thought the game was long gone. i got to get this for my son's) YOU THINK THIS SYSTEM WOULD BE IN TOY'S R US AND ALL OVER THE PLACE THE NEXT DAY. What's the difference, i think ant know's just as much about football as john madden. before you reply, "well madden is famous and on tv" I just watched some show with the 100 most beautiful women in the world (models, actresses, singer's) there famous right. I can find you 10 girls in 2 minutes on the beaches of brazil (no one know's about) who would make that entire list look laughable. MANTARAYDRE Many of you don't have the dvd and are just going by what anthony post. (oh, another guy with a system and trying to make money on the dvd) He brought the NFL to your doorstep and many don't understand this offer.

The running game. In the MPFL system you have the opportunity to cut back via stoppages. You have the abilityto run a pplay going left then change direction and have the ball carrier and blockers going right looking for the open lanes to run through My favorite part of the dvd is his breakdown on how a linebacker should react. I WILL BE HONEST. Unless you played, coached or reffed organized football on a high, semi pro, pro level. These little tibit's are hard to come by. I actually was learning about football period. It wen't beyond the scope of just the system. Everything he broke down on the linebacker i did not know that much. THOSE LINEBACKERS CAN'T GUESS WRONG OR THEY ARE DEAD. In the system, after the snap of the ball, the board is stopped and your linebackers must read the play. Just like the NFL, do you pursue the run left or right. or do you turn him to drop back into cverage. THAT INITIAL STOPPAGE IS TOTALLY YOUR CALL AS A LINEBACKER. IN THAT INSTANCE, YOU ARE THE LINEBACKER. YOU GUY'S HAVE TO SEE THE DVD TO SEE WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT. ANT CAN EXPLAIN THIS A MILLION TIMES BETTER THAN I CAN, I HOPE HE POST ABOUT LINEBACKER PLAY MANTARAYDRE

![]() Stop & Pop is and has been the passing format of choice. That is a given, so says the majority actively involved in this small but passionate little pond. No amount of typing, Holiday Inn Express meetings or attempts to hard sell is going to change that. If you want it changed then Nike Baby, Just Do It! If you are successful it will change, catch on, what have you. If not, no harm, no foul. And it will be business as usual.
You HAVE TO get coaches on the board to experiment with and get familiar with a system before it can (not necessarily will) be widely accepted. They have to decide, on their own, that they want to up the skill level bar above that which already caters to their comfort zone. You can not talk the majority into doing that. Show them. Teach them. Let them choose. As w/any system, there will be faults. None are perfect. But picking apart the faults of S&P would take chapters of typing to address. I know not to waste my time pointing them out, even in part. I chose to use this time to point out a few more important things for everyone to consider. 1) If you sign on for a league or event - No complaining about the rules. 2) Play w/what you want, however you want at home (solitaire). It's your stuff. 3) Respect (as much as you possibly can) other people's right to do the same. 4) Have fun playing the game. If it's not fun, why bother wasting the time, effort and resources? -Mike Pratt |

I am very pleased that you were able to learn something about the game of football from the DVD. I think when it come to us males, it is very hard to give another man prop's if he is smarter then you on something, ( Male Pride!!!) Like Don Smith for example, Mr A Baxter, Big Kieth, these men are guys that can truly use the TTQB. They impress me every time I watch them in action. I can respect them and there ability to use this item. Rather then hate on them because they have mastered this tool, I humbled myself in an effort to learn something from them. Now many on the site hate to admit that one guy knows more about the game then another, and because of that, this is the cause of many issues. Dre, I created this system because I truly loved the game and wanted to give back to the hobby, and to change the negative preceptions that many out side the hobby have on this hobby. I think that many guys don't believe that this game can play just like what you watch on Sundays and Mondays in the NFL and because of this they are reluctant to try it. However this system is not for every one! Some guys don't care about player reaction, or players intelligence, they don't care about the position discipline, or othere detailed components. They are happy with watching the figures run around the field in the hopes that they will get the job done. But there are some individuals out there in this hobby and outside this hobby that don't understand the game of football and want to learn, want more from this hobby then just watching guys men run around the field, who want what they know about the game of football to be transfferred from there mind to the game board. The bottom line I think is this, and this is my observation based on the phone call's, emails, and DVD orders; Guys who truly love the game of football, that are students of the game love the system. Guys who love electric football, love the game electric football.
